Late Blog Post

Wow, I have definitely not done a Blog post in a while. I will try and do it as much as possible as I have had not a lot of time over these past few months, especially with school work and also seeing One Direction live at Newcastle and had a nice holiday away in Egypt!

Just a few pictures of what I have been doing these past months :)

Here are some nails that I have recently done...

I have to admit these nails were very simple and easy to do as I just used the sparkly Barry M nail varnish with another coat applied on top and then while wet I added the pearl studs on, these are what I used..

Sorry I haven't been blogging a lot, I have been busy with school work and I will try to update as much as possible!

They dry very quickly and have a nice glossy touch to them, I would definitely recommend these nails varnishes to anyone!

Now onto the Nails Inc Express Nail Polish Remover, this is a fantastic product and is a quick and easy way to take your nail varnish off!
All you have to do is dip in your nails for super fast and effective polish removal, here is a step by step guide ...

1. Insert one finger at a time.

2.Twist your finger until all the nail polish is removed.

3.Repeat on other nails.

And it really is that simple! Inside the nail polish remover is an internal sponge that is pre- soaked with nail polish remover for fuss free nail polish removal. No need for cotton wool!

Broadway Impress Nails

Once I discovered Impress nails, I was obsessed! I absolutely love them, they are so easy to put on and last for up to a week which gives your nails a gorgeous look.

My first pair were called ' Lil Drumr Girl ' which were great! They give a superior, lasting shine which leaves a lovely effect on your nails! Impress nails provide a small nail file in case the nails are to long which I didn't bother with as I thought they were a perfect length.

Broadway Impress on Manicure - Lil Drummer Girl - £7.99

Applying Impress nails are very easy as all you have to do is five simple steps.

  1. Find the correct size for each nail. ( If needed use smaller ones for best results)
  2. Lay out 10 nails in finger order.
  3. Wash your hands with soap, dry thoroughly & use enclosed prep pad.
  4. For best adhesion; press firmly, down the middle then down each side of the nail. Apply thumb nails last.
  5. Minimize contact with water for 30 mins.
After you are finished with the nails, gently peel off from sides or apply polish remover around edges, wait 1 minute, peel off.

And that's all you have too do, it's very easy and simple and glams up your nails!

For Christmas I got given a lovely gift from my friend which were some more Impress nails which had a sparkly crackle effect on them which looked gorgeous, They were called 'Working Girl' and looked great for the Winter!

If you are considering of buying any Impress nails then go to Superdrug as I did my research and found out they are a full pound cheaper compared to Boots!

Sparkly Nails

I did these sparkly nails a while ago which took some time and effort but I ended up having a lovely finish with a gorgeous look. I will go through a step by step method on how I did them...

First of all I used a simple base coat on my nails to give them a nice shiny effect. Then secondly, I used the silver glitter nail varnish on the tip of my nails and made a faded out look by having more on the bottom and using less nail varnish towards the top of the nail. After that I finally applied a top coat on each individual nail while also carefully adding matching studs at the very end of my nails to give it the finishing touch!

These are the nail products I used for my sparkly nails ...

Nail Art Pens

For Christmas I got  these lovely nail art pens, they make your nails look brighter & better and would look great for the summer!

Nail art set - £10 Topshop
Pink/Orange Nail set - £7.50 Topshop

In the first box above it includes 5x Micro-nib nail art pens with neon colours of green, blue, purple, orange & yellow. They are very easy to handle with them being a small size and make your nails a whole lot nicer!

In the second box above you get 2x bright pink & orange pens including matching studs. Inside you get a brush for painting your nails and a nib for drawing! These are also very easy to use and is a 3 in 1 nail art pen, can't get any better!

Stripe & Sparkle - £4.99 Superdrug

This is another nail art pen I also received called ' Stripe & Sparkle '. This product is quite similar to the other ones above but only has a brush not a nib, also having glitter instead of studs. Having a super, skinny and striping brush provides more nail art detail on your nails with a bolder look. This nail art pen is very easy to use and gives your nails a gorgeous finishing touch!

Wah Nails Book

I received 'The Wah Nails Book of Nail Art' for Christmas and I love it! It is a great book written by Sharmadean Reid who owns a WAH Nails Salon in London and is full of cool nail art designs which even shows you how to do them.

This book includes 25 of her most in-demand nail designs, simple projects such as Zebra print too the more trickier Aztec tribal nail art, step-by-step instructions and cheats' techniques on how to make your nails pop and pictures full of designed nails.

I would recommend this book to anybody who loves to paint their nails as it shares some great tips on nail art. This book can be bought from Amazon for £9.99 and is definitely worth it!

New Year Nails

Recently, I have done some New Years nails to celebrate 2013! Here is a step by step instruction on how I did them...

Firstly, I put on the black Rimmel varnish and waited for them to dry. Secondly, a simple top coat was applied on top. Thirdly, while the nail was wet with the top coat I chose what studs I wanted on my nails and stuck them onto the nail. Sometimes it can be a bit complicated with the nail drying quite quickly, so I would do one nail at a time. Finally, after carefully putting the studs on each nail I used the top coat again to apply a nice shiny look to the nails!

These are the products I used for my New Years nails ...

Barry M Gold Glitter - River Island (In a set)
Black Rimmel - £2 Tesco
Nail Art Stud Decorations - £3.50 River Island

I hope you liked my New Years nails and have inspired you to do something similar,  Happy new Year:-)
